Vibe - Hip and in Stride with the Times

Ever since they came into existence, vibrators had leapfrogged its ancestral gadget, the dildo. Used to be disparagingly termed “vibrating dildo”, vibrators eventually came out on top.  It was not surprising that it is now the biggest-selling sex toy among all the others combined. Today, it is sometimes referred to by its shortened, hip term as vibe.

Vibrators literally shook the sex world by their magic, powered only by their capacity to satisfy to the hilt for any user (men/women/others). Not all of them are the same, however, and each gender would know which models are best for them.

Transitions

Many people still call a vibe as vibrators. From its development years ago as so-called cure for neuralgia, headaches and wrinkles, they had been in business for other things than what was listed then. Those things were for women only in those days and were not talked about in public.

The medical profession tried hard to suppress the growing reputation of what it can really do and passed it off as a cure for “hysteria” in women. Things, however, settled down and finally called spade a spade.

These days, the ever-growing collection of vibrator models and versions, old and new, are still treasured for what they can do with their old features and characteristics. These old models are still around for sale.

Transformations

They were transformed into something new with more and more capabilities.  Before, they were tethered into electrical outlets. They now have transportable power (batteries, rechargeable or replaceable). The number of users has now tripled (counting the men and the gay population)

They’re not tethered to electrical sockets but have transportable power (batteries). Also, in the olden days, only women had access (and use) for them. These days the number of their users had more than tripled. (Count the men and the new gay users, too, among the growing women users.)

A collection of the models of the device, old and new, with their own individual capabilities and characters.

The older models (dildos) just didn’t die out; some women still prefer to manipulate the devices on their own volition, in their own rhythm following how they feel in each mounting moment while using the devices.

The old models didn’t just die out. There had been new leases of life after innovations were made and incorporated to their capabilities sought after by users, mostly women. These days, too, the range of uses has expanded and they are now used by couples as new-found perks in their sex acts (we-vibes) together.

Assortment

The days, the “vibes” (vibrators) have grown in number. Along the way, there were also new diversions and choices, and vibrators went with the changes of the times.

As always, the ever-creative makers came out with new models, and new designs including new power sources. (Rechargeable batteries are relatively new innovations). Of course, applications have their own modifications and improvements chasing the runaway demand.

New models may have arrived but the older classic vibe models (clitoral vibes, G-spot locators, magic wands and new rabbits) might be around a long time.

Vibrators - Runaway Best-Sellers

From accounts of sellers and manufacturers, vibrators have long set the record as the most sought-after sex toy. The sales even top the combined revenues of all sales from sex toys for men and women including accessories. In turn, the surge in sales also triggered more and more new models and versions of the older models, all of which are selling.

From the consumers and other accounts, today’s women users have at least two or three of this favorite sex toy plus a dildo sometimes. Slightly more than half of the women surveyed use the devices but nearly one in four had previously used them.

Vibrators are mostly used by women today in the absence of a sexual partner at the moment’s need. Surveys had shown, however, that both men and women who used vibrators (alone or with their partners) enjoy better sex lives.

Try outs

Getting your vibrator is so simple, either at the supermarket or buying them online.  At some super marts, a body massager is only around $20 and this is easy for newbies because they are not obvious sexual devices.

These are sold as stress relievers and can be used actually to massage body parts as needed. (Try them out first near your genitals and adjust the vibration’s intensity before using on your genitals.)

Basic vibrators can be had at discreet, upscale sex boutiques. The best chance is getting them at big, mainstream web sites that specialize on them. You can also have your pocket sized traveling gadget that can be tucked in unobtrusively inside your bag to bring with you anywhere. (The deluxe models have accessories. Always check the instructions.)

The models

Try a buzz-worthy bullet vibrator or another discreet sex toy that will vibrate directly against the sensitive nerve endings in the clitoris. There are the 6-function clitoral vibrators, the 3-speed bullet fan vibrators, and many other variations that have multiple speeds, functions and other features.

(Bullets are those small discreet and transportable sex gadgets. Some can be inserted inside the genitals while doing other chores.) The others are the many versions used by women who are into the main business of self-pleasuring without their partners.

Dual-Action Vibrators

This had been the rage for a long time. Commonly called the “rabbit” (it usually has two protrusions that resembles sometimes like rabbit’s ears), it does not only work as a clitoral stimulator, it also has a penetrating shaft that gets to a woman’s G-spot.

There’s a 6-function model, a 14-function, a 7-speed version, a 10-function model all with adjustable speeds, vibration mode and some other features unique to these dual-action (clitoral stimulator and G-spot finder) devices. Others specialize in G-spot stimulation while the simpler vaginal vibrator has a sleek shape for external or internal (penetration) use, either all alone or with a partner.

Something for everyone

For couples, there is a combination penis ring and clitoral vibrator for use simultaneously by couples. (There are other models and types as well.) In all of these vibrators, makers made it sure that there is something for everyone of every gender.

XXX Toys - Influenced by Porn Movies

XXX sex movies are the staple porn movies we are all familiar with, churned out by millionaire producers. Because of competition, each one tries to top the others with new gimmicks and styles, including the use of many sex toys which we later became familiar, too. These are the famous XXX toys everyone refers to.

When we saw these in action, we finally find out some of the exact uses of each one, contrary to what we only heard before from friends and everyone else (who doesn’t know any better than us). The only things we haven’t seen much in XXX movies would be those masturbation gadgets for either men or women.

Random gadgets

Like what we now know, these gadgets are specifically created to bring about sexual pleasure. Most of these toys used by women and maybe also those used by men are mostly for self-pleasuring (masturbation aids, or main objects).

There are also sex toys these days that can be used by either a male or female user. With the number of these toys in the market today, categories seemed blurred somewhere on some of them. Some gadgets can be used by females either solo or with a partner which can be either male or female.

Dildos, for one, can be static or they can vibrate. Cock rings are mostly used by men to enhance erections and sexual pleasuring in masturbation acts. Vibes are devices that stimulate the female vagina and clitoris while at the same time stimulating the male penis and scrotum during the sexual act where both are partners.

For women
As attested by sellers and manufacturers, among all the sexual accessories, gadgets and toys on sale that are exclusively for women only are the best-selling among all the items. Later, they also have th3e widest selections and many variations on each them of a gadget.

Dildos, which can be made to vibrate, are usually made of silicon, rubber, or metal. Most are made to look like a male penis. A double penetration dildo is long and is designed to penetrate two people or by a female penetrated vaginally and anally.

An exerciser (Kegler) is sometimes called vaginal barbells. Ben Wa are metal balls that are hollow and inserted vaginally for extended periods of time and claiming enhanced orgasm by their internal rolling movements.

For men

A popular one are called fleshlight (a play on the regular flashlight which has the same shape). The inside is made of soft materials to simulate the feel of the inside of a vagina and induce orgasm. One opening where the penis is inserted is shaped like lips, vagina, or butt hole.

The cock ring prolongs the male erection by holding blood in the penis. Others are made to vibrate to enhance the pleasure feel, and some have protrusions to resemble the clitoris. The vibrations stimulate the scrotum and the perineum. Prostate massager stimulates the prostate for pleasure.

All in all, these are just some of the more popular XXX toys in the market today, with more versions and variations coming in almost every day from the sex toy makers.
